Minions

You don't need to do it all yourself. Sometimes it's OK to get a little help from your friends.

(This theme is for NPC villains only.)

Basic Minions: Your powers involve the assistance of some kind of minion. If your power's description doesn't already describe them, your minion or minions are a nameless NPC with one Aspect, no skills and no stunts. By default, your minion does not act independently in a conflict.

Enhancements

Independent Minions: Your minions get their own movements and actions during a conflict. They act as separate NPC's under the GM's control.

Fully Fledged Minions: Regardless of how your power describes them, your minions are fullly customized NPC's with their own stat blocks.

Multiple Minions: You can have as many minions active at a time as the GM chooses, and when you summon them, you can summon as many of them as is narratively appropriate.

Common Power Synergies

Creature Summoning: Your summoned creatures are minions who serve you.

Duplication: When you duplicate yourself, each copy you create is a new minion under your control.

Healing: You don't have any innate healing powers, but you do always travel everywhere with a highly skilled medic who can patch up your friends.

Super Intelligence: There's an advanced AI strapped to your wrist, ready to give you helpful advice whenever needed.

Drawbacks

  • Your abilities completely rely on your minions being available. You're Powerless When Alone.
  • Each of your minions is a separate piece of your own psyche. When they manifest, you're left with a Splintered Mind.

Collateral Damage Effects

Rescue Team: If things are going poorly for you, your minions can step in to extricate you from the situation completely, even if that involves knocking down people or walls to get you out safely.

Destructible Minions: Your minions have a self-destruct feature. You can choose to destroy all of your minions as an action. Each one immediately explodes, performng a Great (+4) ranged attack against everyone in their zone. If there are multiple minions in the same zone, they combine their attacks using teamwork (with each additional minion adding +1 to the attack roll) rather than rolling separately.
