[CCrusaders] Bert says, "Log on."

genericgeekgirl has arrived.

[CCrusaders] GM asks, "I think we're just waiting for Wanda and Zircon?"

Peri has left.

Peri has arrived.

[CCrusaders] Wanda exclaims, "I exist!"

[CCrusaders] GM exclaims, "Yay!"

[CCrusaders] GM says, "(I guess Eben is idle as well.)"

Wanda goes south.

Wanda has arrived.

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "Damn numpad."

[CCrusaders] GM asks (of Roger, Eben), "Ping?"

[CCrusaders] Roger says, "No from me, sorry"

[CCrusaders] GM says, "Alright."

[CCrusaders] Eben exclaims, "Whoops, hi!"

[CCrusaders] GM exclaims, "Yay!"

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "Hi, whoops, I'm Wanda"

GM exclaims, "It's once again that time: time for the CROWNSFORD CRUSADERS!"

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "Wait that's not how dad jokes work"

GM says, "Last time: You hacked into a teenaged girl's private laptop. (But it's OK, because you're the heroes.) You learned more about Melificent's mentor, Astrid, and you paid a visit to Dr. Nichols. After dealing with his peculiar security system, you made peace once again with your old adversary and learned that someone has been working to break down the barriers between this world and the shadow realm."

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "Might be a little distracted for a moment. Trying to figure out whether I need to relocate to the kiddo's room for quiet time."

[CCrusaders] Eben says (to Wanda), "No, I called *you* whoops."

GM says, "Now: Armed with a list of locations where cracks to the shadow dimension have been opening, you're off to try to deal with them! First on your list is the address that Astrid sent to Melificent: Hill Ave. and Nineteenth St."

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "drat! when will I learn"

GM asks, "Is that where you're going to now, or is there anything else you wanted to do first?"

Wanda asks, "Did we ever get news about Cuddles from the pigeons?"

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "Nope"

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "My only question is 'what are these old shadow-related aspects on this sheet?'"

GM says (to Jacob), "From what you hear, it seems like it's been a few days since any of them have seen her."

[CCrusaders] GM asks, "Your consequences? Or the phone/data stuff?"

[CCrusaders] Eben exclaims, "The latter!"

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "(and 'shadow data from the real world'"

[CCrusaders] Eben says, ")"

[CCrusaders] GM says, "I think at least one of them is from the first session, when you saw that portal in the woods."

[CCrusaders] GM says, "I *think* it was this:"

[CCrusaders] GM | Eben rigs up his cell phone camera (taking off the two other old attachments he put on it the last time) to enhance detected shadow-realm material, so when jacob looks at the cracks in the real world, he'll be able to see if there's shadow-stuff on the other side or not.

GM says, "When you pull up to the curb, it looks like a pretty normal city intersection. You're not too close to downtown, but also not out into the suburbs."

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "Ah, so the +2 is that rigging, and the +1 is probably what Jacob saw using it."

GM says, "There are a few apartment buildings around, a convenience store, a pizza parlor, etc. Traffic lights, manhole over, bus stop with a bench, some nice trees."

Eben sets up a shadow portal in a nearby alley.

GM asks (of Eben), "OK! Both ends?"

GM asks, "And are you going through it, or just getting it ready for later?"

[CCrusaders] Eben asks, "I've been trying to figure out how the shadow portals work, and I think it just takes one portal that works like walking into a mirror? If that's OK by you?"

[CCrusaders] GM says, "If you'd like, we can do it that way."

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "I think with a second action, I could set one up so you entered one portal in the real world and exited the other in the shadow realm, or visa versa."

[CCrusaders] GM says, "(I think in the past you were saying it was like setting up normal portals, except that one of them existed in this world, and the other was in the shadow world.)"

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "Oh, that works, too."

[CCrusaders] Eben asks, "So I just fire one and can't see it, then fire the other and connect to it?"

[CCrusaders] GM says, "Yeah, that's what I had been imagining."

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "Let's go with that, then."

[CCrusaders] GM asks, "Sounds good. Are you going through?"

Eben looks through and then enters!

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "(the portals are right next to each other on the same wall)"

GM says, "It's winter on both sides of the portal, but it feels even chillier on the shadow side. Everything is pale and washed out, and the sunshine has difficulty penetrating the haze of shadow hanging over everything."

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "I like the implication that you could fire a shadow portal under a villain, the villain laughs because nothing happened, then you fire the second portal and 'eeeee'"

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "Ha."

Eben looks around for the same sort of portal they found in the woods.

GM says, "There doesn't seem to be anything immediately visible from here."

Eben explores about a block in every direction, portals himself onto a roof to look from there, and then looks for a manhole.

GM says, "You do spot a manhole cover in the middle of the intersection that you're parked at."

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "If it's one of those manholes with a hole in it, I'll open a portal on the other side of it."

[CCrusaders] GM says, "Sure, it can be."

Eben lines up his portal gun and fires a portal through the hole.

[CCrusaders] Wanda exclaims, "Fire into the manholehole!"

GM says, "Underneath the manhole, it's pretty dark, but your portal does let some light through."

Eben searches, moving his portal spotlight when necessary.

GM says, "It leads to an underground tunnel. There are pipes along the walls, and there's not-very-clean water flowing slowly along the bottom."

GM says, "The 'water' is about ankle deep, if you're going through into the tunnel."

GM asks, "Are you in the real world? Or the shadow world? And is anyone else going too, or just Eben?"

Jacob will follow.

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "I'm in the shadow world, and it probably makes sense for others to search with me."

[CCrusaders] Eben asks, "Did we find out what water was like in the shadow world?"

Wanda follows! With an exclamation mark.

GM says (to Eben), "As you step onto the water, it feels almost firm, like over-set gelatin."

GM says, "But if you stay in one place too long, you start to feel your feet slowly sinking into it."

GM says, "(Ditto for the rest of you who are following him.)"

GM asks, "Are you heading along the tunnel?"

Eben bounces along on the surface of the water, then slides.

GM exclaims (at Eben), "Athletics Overcome, vs. +2!"

Jacob ews a little, and is glad he's got his big black boots.

Eben rolls Good (3) + 4dF: -1 +1 +1 0 | Great (4)

GM exclaims (at Eben), "You look awesome doing it!"

Eben zzzzip!

Wanda opts to skitter along the roof of the tunnel.

GM says, "As you proceed down the tunnel, moving the portal along with you, you eventually come to a large cube of rock that's only just barely big enough to have fit through a manhole."

GM says, "There are runes carved into the sides of it, and there's a 'portal' to the real world floating above it, just like the one you saw in the forest."

GM says, "There's also a black chain attached to it that appears to run to something that's just out of sight on the other side of the cube."

Jacob oh no.

Wanda says, "What have they sacrificed this time..."

GM says, "Could someone give me a +4 Notice Overcome? (Super vision applies.)"

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "One sec"

Jacob rolls Superb (5) + 4dF: +1 -1 +1 -1 | Superb (5)

GM says (to Jacob), "You notice something shadowy layered over the ceiling of this part of the tunnel, just above the portal."

Jacob points it out.

Eben peers up there, and moves his own portal near it to shine more light on it.

GM says (to Eben), "It looks like several things made of leathery shadowstuff, layered atop one another like sheets of tarpaulin or animal hides."

GM asks, "You notice a glint of something -- claws? Eyes? Fangs?"

GM says, "There's a twitch. It looks like whatever they are, they've noticed your light..."

Jacob eeps.

[CCrusaders] Wanda asks, "Is it... Evilpaws?"

GM exclaims, "And one by one, four sets of wings peel themselves off of the ceiling and swoop down toward you! Roll initiative!"

GM rolls Mediocre (0) + 4dF: +1 0 +1 -1 | Average (1)

Jacob rolls Good (3) + 4dF: +1 +1 0 0 | Superb (5)

Jacob registers Jacob at init 5.

Wanda rolls Good (3) + 4dF: -1 0 0 +1 | Good (3)

GM registers Shadow Bats at init 1.

Wanda registers Wanda at init 3.

Jacob displays the initiative: Jacob(5) Wanda(3) Shadow Bats(1)

[CCrusaders] Wanda exclaims, "Eben!"

Eben rolls Fair (2) + 4dF: -1 +1 +1 +1 | Great (4)

Eben registers Eben at init 4.

GM advances the initiative: JACOB(5) Eben(4) Wanda(3) Shadow Bats(1)

[Crows-Nest] Jacob ducks and runs away. This. is. BAT. Country.

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "Thinking, more seriously"

GM asks, "Jacob! There are giant malevolent bats made of shadow swopping down at you! What do you do?"

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "I wish to be further away!"

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "Like, glop through the ick a little further back"

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "or something"

[CCrusaders] GM exclaims, "OK! Moving one zone away is a free movement!"

[CCrusaders] GM asks, "Do you also what to take an action?"

Jacob bravely runs away.

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "Maybe, um."

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "Is there anything else worth noticing/investigating/whatever to try to create an advantage? Maybe there's a nest or a baby or an egg or an entirely different thing."

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "I'm just spitballing."

[CCrusaders] Eben asks, "Maybe the way they move can be predicted?"

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "Mostly I think it's funning for the goth boy to run from shadow bats."

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "Ha"

[Crows-Nest] Wanda says, "Plus it's true that running away is the superintelligent thing to do in moments of danger"

[CCrusaders] GM exclaims (at Jacob), "Yes, you can Investigate with +4 to learn something potentially useful!"

Jacob rolls Legendary (8) + 4dF: +1 +1 +1 0 | Legendary+3 (11)

Jacob moves further away and looks around from a safer point.

GM says (to Jacob), "You notice that as the bat things are swooping down, the chain attached to the stone quivers as well."

Jacob neato.

[Crows-Nest] Jacob pulls out his boomerang.

GM says, "It seems like they're connected somehow, and dealing with the bats may be key to dealing with the chain."

GM says, "(Or, potentially, vice versa.)"

[CCrusaders] GM says, "And that was a success with style, so you also have a boost you can apply when using that information."

Jacob advances the initiative: Jacob(5) EBEN(4) Wanda(3) Shadow Bats(1)

GM exclaims, "Eben!"

[CCrusaders] Eben asks, "IIRC, breaking the chain was a Physique thing?"

[CCrusaders] GM says, "The last one was, yeah."

Eben hears Jacob say that the bats are connected to the chain, so he dives at the chain and yanks on it. He's looking for a part of the chain that splits into four, on the assumption that breaking the whole thing would be ridiculously hard, but breaking just one might be doable.

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "If that's just an investigate, that's fine, but if that's obvious, I will try to snap 1/4 of the chain."

Jacob also calls out, "Careful!"

Eben exclaims, "Thanks!"

[CCrusaders] GM exclaims, "If you're pulling on it, then that'll be a +2 Physique Overcome to have an effect!"

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "Because touching that thing is usually bad"

Eben rolls Good (3) + 4dF: +1 -1 0 -1 | Fair (2)

GM says (to Eben), "You can *almost* feel something give, but not quite. You earn a boost, but there's no tangible effect on the chain or the bats."

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "Oh, forgot about that part ;-)"

GM advances the initiative: Jacob(5) Eben(4) WANDA(3) Shadow Bats(1)

GM exclaims, "Wanda!"

Wanda exclaims, "Right!"

[CCrusaders] Eben asks, "Maybe the boost can be 'conveniently pulled chain' for Wanda to try?"

GM says (to Eben), "(And your hands feel bitterly cold where the shadow chain was touching them.)"

[Crows-Nest] Wanda says, "So I can break the chain or hit the bats"

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "I'll go for the chain"

Wanda rushes to Eben's side, and pinches the chain between her mandibles!

Wanda rolls Good (3) + 4dF: -1 0 +1 +1 | Great (4)

Wanda sets her current fate point total to 1.

[CCrusaders] Wanda asks, "Should I use the boost to boost this further?"

GM says, "You feel one of the chain links start to crack! And at the same time, one of the bats falters, as though it was in pain."

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "I use the boost to add +2 to that, if it makes a difference"

[CCrusaders] GM asks, "OK! Are you also suffused with flame at the time?"

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "Yes"

[CCrusaders] GM says, "So if your Harm applies to this roll, then you'd effectively have six shifts..."

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "So an extra +2 from Harm"

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "exactly"

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "and it ignores armor"

GM says, "The cold of the chain is eating into your mandibles, sapping the strength from your flame -- but the reverse is true as well! Your fire is weakening the chain."

[Crows-Nest] Wanda says, "I don't have to win, we just both have to lose"

GM says, "And as more cracks appear in it, two of the bats who were about to attack Eben suddenly dissipate into nothing."

GM advances the initiative: Jacob(5) Eben(4) Wanda(3) SHADOW BATS(1)

GM exclaims, "Leaving, you realize, only two of them to attack Wanda!"

[Crows-Nest] Wanda says, "Depluralized, motherf****"

GM rolls Great (4) + 4dF: -1 +1 0 -1 | Good (3)

GM exclaims (at Wanda), "That's an attack with Fight!"

[CCrusaders] Wanda exclaims, "I defend with physique, not wanting to let go of the chain!"

Wanda rolls Good (3) + 4dF: +1 +1 0 0 | Superb (5)

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "And I have Armor:2"

[CCrusaders] GM asks, "OK! Are you able to defend with Physique?"

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "Oh wait"

GM sets his current fate point total to 3.

[CCrusaders] Wanda asks, "Is that not a thing everyone can do?"

[CCrusaders] GM says, "You normally defend with Fight or Athletics."

Eben sets their current fate point total to 2.

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "I'll defend with Fight then"

[CCrusaders] GM exclaims, "OK!"

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "using my other legs to kick them away"

Wanda rolls Great (4) + 4dF: +1 -1 0 -1 | Good (3)

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "hahaha"

GM says, "Your legs have been sinking into the 'water', making it hard to pull them out to kick."

GM spends a fate point, leaving him with 2.

GM says, "And the chain itself hurts to hold onto so hard."

GM spends a fate point, leaving him with 1.

[CCrusaders] GM asks, "Which would succeed by four -- do you take the stress?"

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "I'll take it. So just 2 stress then because Super Toughness"

[CCrusaders] GM exclaims, "OK!"

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "I tick the box"

GM advances the initiative: END OF ROUND

GM advances the initiative: JACOB(5) Eben(4) Wanda(3) Shadow Bats(1)

GM exclaims, "Jacob!"

[Setting the zoned flag.]

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "I... hm."

GM says, "There are two shadow bats attacking Wanda."

[CCrusaders] Jacob asks, "I presume there are no (smaller) rocks down here?"

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "Though it's a sewer, so there must be something"

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "I want to throw a thing at them"

[Crows-Nest] Jacob says, "I'm helping!"

GM says, "One the one hand, it's the shadow realm, so any rocks would be difficult to interact with from here. On the other hand, it's the shadow realm, so the water itself is nearly solid to you."

GM says, "So you could scoop up a handful of it with a little difficulty."

GM exclaims, "Throwing it would be an attack with Shoot!"

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "Oh dang."

[CCrusaders] Eben asks, "I mean, that would be funny?"

[CCrusaders] Jacob asks, "This will be comedic. What's the TN?"

[CCrusaders] GM says, "It's contested."

GM says, "Vs. their Athletics."

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "Even better."

Jacob rolls Mediocre (0) + 4dF: -1 +1 -1 +1 | Mediocre (0)

GM rolls Average (1) + 4dF: 0 +1 +1 0 | Good (3)

[CCrusaders] GM exclaims, "They succeed... with style!"

[CCrusaders] GM asks, "And earn a boost?"

Jacob hits Wanda in the face with goop?

GM advances the initiative: Jacob(5) EBEN(4) Wanda(3) Shadow Bats(1)

Wanda asks, "Aaaargh! The water is attacking us too?"

[CCrusaders] GM says (to Wanda), "Hee."

GM exclaims, "Eben!"

Wanda says, "I knew we should have saved Hydrolix"

Eben exclaims, "We tried!"

Wanda exclaims, "Damn Deka!"

Eben also attacks the chain.

Eben exclaims, "Language!"

Wanda swears telepathically.

[CCrusaders] GM asks (of Eben), "Attacking it like an attack, or just trying to break it with your hands?"

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "The latter."

[CCrusaders] GM exclaims, "Physique Overcome!"

Eben rolls Good (3) + 4dF: -1 0 0 +1 | Good (3)

GM says, "You feel it giving a bit more this time, and you deal it one stress! (Unless you're tagging anything?)"

[CCrusaders] Eben asks, "We already spent the boost, IIRC?"

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "Then yeah, one stress is fine for now."

[CCrusaders] GM says, "I think you also have Jacob's, if you guys believe that would apply."

[CCrusaders] GM says, "(His boost for noticing the bats and the chain being connected.)"

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "Oh, sure, I can spend that, then."

[CCrusaders] GM exclaims, "OK! (Assuming Jacob is OK with that.) Narrate how it connects, and how a second bat is defeated!"

Eben watches carefully as the bats swoop around, and just as one is at the fullest extent of its flight, making the chain slightly thinner, he pulls it apart!

Eben advances the initiative: Jacob(5) Eben(4) WANDA(3) Shadow Bats(1)

GM exclaims, "Wanda!"

[CCrusaders] GM says, "(Third bat, I should have said.)"

GM exclaims (at Wanda), "One bat remains, and the chain is nearly broken!"

Wanda exclaims, "Physique again!"

Wanda rolls Good (3) + 4dF: 0 0 0 -1 | Fair (2)

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "bleh"

GM asks, "It's a tie! That would be a boost, unless you have something to do for it?"

GM advances the initiative: Jacob(5) Eben(4) Wanda(3) SHADOW BATS(1)

[CCrusaders] Wanda asks, "Technically it would still be 2 stress?"

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "If we're ruling that my harm is effective still"

[CCrusaders] GM exclaims, "Oh, right, good point!"

[CCrusaders] GM exclaims, "So it's not a boost, and you deal two more stress to the chain!"

GM exclaims, "The final bat has to decide between Eben and Wanda, and Eben seems like the greater danger at this point, so it attacks him with its shadow claws!"

GM rolls Good (3) + 4dF: +1 0 +1 +1 | Fantastic (6)

Wanda Grandpaaaaa

Eben tries to dodge out of the way!

Eben rolls Good (3) + 4dF: -1 +1 +1 0 | Great (4)

[CCrusaders] GM asks, "Normal dodging or portal dodging?"

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "At least the ground is bouncy"

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "Normal dodging."

GM says (to Even), "As you dodge, you step in a spot where someone has scooped out a chunk of the water, before it flowed downstream to you."

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "Ha"

GM exclaims, "Your ankle twists out from underneath you, and the bats cash in their boost!"

Jacob oof.

[CCrusaders] GM exclaims, "That's four shifts, unless you have a response to that!"

[CCrusaders] Eben asks, "4 stress?"

[CCrusaders] Eben exclaims, "I tick my 4-stress box!"

GM advances the initiative: END OF ROUND

GM advances the initiative: JACOB(5) Eben(4) Wanda(3) Shadow Bats(1)

GM exclaims, "Jacob!"

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "Holding my action until before the remaining shadow bat goes again (if it isn't dissipated by then)"

[CCrusaders] GM exclaims, "OK!"

GM advances the initiative: Jacob(5) EBEN(4) Wanda(3) Shadow Bats(1)

GM exclaims, "Eben!"

Eben pulls with all his might on the last bit of chain!

Eben rolls Good (3) + 4dF: -1 +1 0 0 | Good (3)

GM exclaims, "That's just enough, and the chain shatters in your hands!"

GM says, "And the bat who just clawed you dissolves into hamrless shadows."

Wanda says, "You've been working out, Grandpa"

Eben exclaims, "All this superheroing is great for my heart!"

GM says, "As the chain breaks, you notice a small figure peeking out at you from behind the stone."

GM says, "It the shade of a sewer rat, and it looks frightened."

Wanda says, "Awww..."

Jacob kneels down. "Hey there, little buddy."

Rat says, "H-hello?"

[Crows-Nest] Wanda says, "I'm imagining that Fruits Basket gif with the rat crying"

Jacob asks, "You're safe now. I think. What happened?"

Rat says, "B-bad people hurt me. Hurt bad. Then trapped here."

[CCrusaders] Jacob asks, "Remind me if we can touch these shades? Like, we've pet the dog before or?"

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "Since we're in the shadow realm ourselves, we can, IIRC."

[CCrusaders] GM says, "You sort of can. Your hand will partly go through it, but there is tactile contact."

Jacob offers the rat a little scritch between the shoulder blades. "Are you still trapped? How can we help?"

[CCrusaders] GM says, "(I recall that the old woman from your first visit had difficulty interacting with Eben's phone.)"

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "That's right, yeah."

Rat says, "I think... not trapped now? Free now?"

[Crows-Nest] Jacob says, "And not just because she was an old woman seeing a smart phone? ;)"

Rat says, "Go now?"

Jacob says, "Yes, you can go. Go rest."

GM says, "The rat stands up on its hind legs, looking up at something."

Jacob peers.

GM says, "It sniffs the air, as though there's something there that you can't see. ANd then it jumps..."

GM says, "...and vanishes."

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "I guess we could have gotten more info, but I assumed it was just the same as before"

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "And now we die from poison."

GM exclaims, "And you realize that the portal that was hovering over the stone is gone!"

Jacob good.

Wanda asks, "What are they trying to do with these things?"

Wanda says, "Usually we understand what the villains are up to"

GM says (to Eben, Wanda), "You're still in a bit of pain, though. As you look down at where you were holding the chain, you see that your flesh is blackened in those places."

Eben asks, "Well, there's the thing about wanting to weaken the barrier between our world and this one?"

Wanda says, "Ouch..."

[Crows-Nest] Jacob asks, "It's all an elaborate plot to... confuse us?"

Jacob eeeee. "That looks bad."

Wanda asks (of Eben), "But why? We've gone to the Shadow Realm, there's nothing particularly bad there... I mean, what's the harm if ghosts start becoming visible?"

Wanda says, "There has to be so underlying motive"

Eben exclaims, "True!"

[CCrusaders] GM greys out one of the X's in the Mysterious Countdown.

Eben says, "Fortunately, stopping them seems relatively straightforward, regardless of their motive."

[CCrusaders] GM does not, however, remove the X.

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "Ha ha hint hint"

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "brb, I hear crying and awake kiddo"

[CCrusaders] Eben asks (of GM), "Is the blackened skin a consequence?"

GM asks, "You're all having this conversation in the sewer, in the shadow realm, right?"

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "True."

[CCrusaders] GM says (to Eben), "No, but let's call it an aspect, nonetheless."

[CCrusaders] GM says, "Shadowburnt."

Eben sizes up the block of stone, wondering if it will fit through one of his portals.

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "back"

GM says, "It should, yeah."

GM says, "It'll be pretty heavy to try to carry, though."

Eben says, "Hmm, what do you all think? I could portal this thing back to my lab to study it, or portal it off a cliff to try to break it. Or we could just chisel off the runes on its sides..."

Wanda says, "I could go full Meteor and blast it apart."

Wanda says, "Here in the Shadow Realm, there's less collateral damage I guess"

Eben asks, "That works. Jacob, if you want to study the runes first, then we blow it up?"

GM says, "You recall that in the forest, Jacob was able to see actual cracks in space around the portal. After the portal was closed, they started healing, but very slowly."

Jacob says, "Sure."

Jacob study study study.

GM says (to Jacob), "If you want to study the runes to learn about them, that would be a Create Advantage with Lore, vs. +4."

Jacob rolls Superb (5) + 4dF: +1 0 +1 0 | Epic (7)

GM exclaims, "Success with style!"

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "(I'm sitting here thinking, 'hmm, did I set that opposition too high? I set it too high. I should lower it...')"

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "(I did not set it too high.)"

GM asks, "You have an aspect with two free tags! What would you like to call it?"

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "Uh"

[CCrusaders] GM asks, "'Runic Comprehension'?"

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "Sure"

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "I was distracted because I googled Runebreaker and there's a book series"

[CCrusaders] GM says, "Hee."

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "So not that"

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "Ha"

[CCrusaders] GM says, "Runebroker. You need runes, we can get 'em for you wholesale."

GM asks, "So what do the three of you do now?"

[CCrusaders] Eben asks, "Destroy the block, move on to the next one?"

[CCrusaders] GM asks, "How are you destroying it?"

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "The Meteor Strike thing from Wanda."

[CCrusaders] GM asks (of Wanda), "Are you doing that, and would you like to narrate it?"

[CCrusaders] GM asks, "Have we lost Wanda?"

[Crows-Nest] Wanda says, "Ooops"

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "I'm back"

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "I forgot to type AFK"

[CCrusaders] GM says, "Aha."

[CCrusaders] Wanda asks, "So I'll RP the meteor strike now?"

[CCrusaders] GM says, "Sounds good."

Wanda says (to Eben&Jacob), "Try and back the hell away, I'm going to take a running leap"

Eben backs the hell away.

Wanda digs her legs into the 'water'. She begins to glow red, then white hot, her form ceasing to be physical, just an impossibly hot fireball...

Wanda goes from zero to mach speed in a single jump, the air expanding with a bang as she launches herself at the block.

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "POV: the real world. The sewer water bubbles slightly."

[CCrusaders] GM says, "Hee hee."

[CCrusaders] Wanda exclaims, "Still impressive that it crosses dimensions at all!"

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "I'll let the GM rp the rest"

GM says, "Fortunately for all of you, unlike most completely real objects, the block has a special existence between the two dimensions. It's just as susceptible to Wanda's meteor storm as if she were doing this in the real world."

GM says, "There's an earth-shattering explosion, and fragments of stone fly in every direction and speeds that aren't even perceptible to eyes slower than Jacob's."

[CCrusaders] Eben asks, "Oh, I thought this was hauled into the shadow realm like us. So we would have seen it in the real world, too?"

GM says, "They embed themselves in the floor, ceiling and walls of the tunnel. One whizzes past Eben's ear. Another comes within half an inch of severing a gas pipe."

[CCrusaders] GM exclaims, "You would have!"

Jacob eeps.

[CCrusaders] Eben exclaims, "Well, then!"

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "Missed that with the other one, or maybe we saw it only in the shadow realm there, too."

GM says, "But as the echoes gradually die away, the stone is no more, and only powerless fragments remain."

Eben says, "Wow."

Eben says, "I will admit, that was more satisfying than dropping it off a cliff."

Eben exclaims, "On to the next one!"

Eben exits the sewer though the portal to the real world.

GM exclaims (at Eben), "As you step back through the portal, your phone suddenly has service again, and it's able to download the last of the encoded GPS data from the trojan you installed on Melissa's phone. You now have a set of coordinates, and they're here in the city!"

Wanda clambers out of the fragments, regaining her usual form.

Eben cross-checks it against portal locations.

GM says (to Eben), "It doesn't match any of them."

Eben says, "Hey, guys, I found Melissa! Or Melissa's phone, at least."

Wanda says, "We can maybe bring her back to our side"

[CCrusaders] GM asks, "Are you going to that location?"

[CCrusaders] Jacob asks, "I vote for yes?"

Eben says, "Is going there a higher priority, or is destroying more portals a higher priority? It's possible that destroying them weakens them? On the other hand, that leaves the main bad guys free to Do Stuff."

Wanda says, "True"

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "I think we have to confront them, or else every time we put out a portal, they can just create a new one."

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "Only not OOC"

Wanda says, "I say we confront them, and find out what the real plan is."

Eben exclaims, "Sounds like a plan!"

Wanda exclaims, "We can redeem Melissa!"

GM asks, "Driving to the GPS coordinate location?"

GM says, "You find yourselves driving through an older neighborhood, passing houses that have probably been here since Crownsford was a brand new city. Wanda, in particular recognizes this area from when she was much younger."

Eben pops back to his lab to look for a couple pairs of industrial-strength oven mitts, in case he and/or Jacob have to try to break more chains in the future.

[CCrusaders] GM says, "Ha. Excellent."

[CCrusaders] GM says, "(Anything else you're doing before I narrate the new location?)"

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "Nope"

GM asks (of Wanda), "You see that tree right there, the one that you're driving past right now?"

Wanda says, "I do"

GM says (to Wanda), "That's the one where you first rescued a certain frightened little kitten, many years ago."

Wanda aww

Wanda says, "I hope Cuddles is okay. I hope we can beat those shadow suckers so that Cuddles never has to worry about them ever again"

GM says, "As you pull up to the coordinate location, you find yourself in front of a large, older house. There's no car in the driveway, and the building is fallen a little bit into disrepair."

GM says, "The sun is beginning to set by this time of day, making the house look a little bit spooky in the twilight."

Wanda says, "Evil can be so on the nose sometimes..."

GM asks, "What does everyone want to do?"

Eben opens a portal and a shadow portal nearby, and goes through to investigate.

Wanda exclaims, "Stealth close to a window, detect unfamiliar minds!"

GM says (to Eben), "In the shadow realm, you can see there's a kind of energy over the front door and each of the windows. As a scientifically-minded person, you might think of it as being like a force field."

GM says (to Wanda), "Overcome vs. +4, with whatever you detect minds with."

Wanda rolls Good (3) + 4dF: -1 +1 0 +1 | Great (4)

[CCrusaders] Wanda exclaims, "Boom!"

[CCrusaders] GM exclaims, "Success with a minor cost!"

[CCrusaders] Wanda asks, "Minor cost: they feel like they're being watched?"

GM asks (of Wanda), "You don't sense any *full* minds. Nothing like a human being, at least. There are fainter things, though. Like animals, maybe? Or like something that's been sealed away, at a level almost below detection?"

GM says, "But it's a strain to try to detect something this weak, and you take two mental stress from it."

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "That's a 2box phys and a 2box ment ticked so far"

[CCrusaders] GM says, "Your physical stress from the sewer fight went away at the end of that scene."

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "The 2phys went away at the end of the sewer... right, that."

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "(also, I think my mild 'shadow shocked (recovering)' is now actually gone?)"

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "Whoops, you're right, thanks"

[CCrusaders] GM says, "Yeah, it's definitely been more than a scene since you went to the hospital."

[CCrusaders] Eben asks, "Is the Moderate one also gone?"

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "I don't know why I never remember the recovery rules."

[CCrusaders] GM says, "Moderate takes one full session. So, yes! At the end of last session."

[CCrusaders] GM says, "Wanda's Fused Joints are a severe consequence and will last until the end of this scenario."

[CCrusaders] Wanda asks, "Isn't this the last scenario in the arc?"

[CCrusaders] GM says, "Yup."

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "Good to know"

GM asks, "What now?"

Eben says, "So, if there's no human minds here, and shadow protection on the windows and doors, I say we try to find a way in that's not through a window or door."

Jacob says, "The roof!"

Jacob says, "By which I mean: the chimney? :D"

Eben exclaims, "We do have special dispensation from Santa!"

GM says, "And of course a building this age has a chimney."

GM asks, "How are you getting up on the roof?"

Wanda says, "I'll carry people up"

Eben gets to a spot where he can see the roof, and puts a portal up there.

Wanda exclaims, "Or that!"

GM says, "Wanda carries Jacob up to the rooftop and meets Eben who's already there."

GM says, "The roof is a little tricky to stand on, since it's slanted, but that's absolutely zero problem for Wanda."

GM says, "You're all now standing precariously next to the chimney."

Eben peers down the chimney, and sees if he can fire a portal down it.

GM exclaims (at Eben), "It's dark, but you give it a try, and it works!"

GM asks, "Who's going through it?"

Eben leads the way!

Wanda exclaims, "Jacob would make more sense, he sees in the dark -- okay!"

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "Yeah, I was gonna offer."

GM says (to Eben), "You climb out of a fireplace into a large room. Fortunately, with the faint light coming in through the windows, you can see adequately well. There are a couple dozen chairs set up here, all facing one end of the room."

Eben, after seeing what he can with the light coming through the portal, lets Jacob take point if it's still dark.

GM says, "At the front of the room is a kind of a lectern or podium, and at the back of the room is a folding table with some half-finished snacks on it. (Crackers, cheese, chips, warm cans of soda.)"

GM says, "There's also a doorway leading out into a hall."

Jacob will ooh at snacks once he sees them.

Wanda detects unfamiliar minds again next to the doorway

GM says (to Wanda), "You detect the same faint patterns you felt from outside. But it's still too difficult to pin anything down."

GM says, "Oh, there's also another (closed) door in the corner of the room."

Eben investigates the lectern to see if there's notes or anything there, then switches into the shadow realm again to look around there.

GM says (to Eben), "You find some notecards! They're only bullet points, but you see things like:"

Jacob crunches not-so-quietly.

[CCrusaders] GM says, "'Ley line intersections', 'Six portals', 'Break through', 'Shadows in Crownsford', 'Immeasurable shadow power!', 'Next: the World???'."

GM says, "'Ley line intersections', 'Six portals', 'Break through', 'Shadows in Crownsford', 'Immeasurable shadow power!', 'Next: the World???'."

Wanda says, "Okay, that makes more sense."

Jacob imagines someone going Muhahahahha while writing those out.

Wanda says, "If the shadow realm fuels their powers..."

[CCrusaders] GM says, "(AFK for a few moments. Feel free to strategize and plan and stuff.)"

Wanda says, "...guys, we're a team, complete those sentences"

Wanda says, "Don't leave me hanging"

[Crows-Nest] Jacob psssssshhhhhhhht, opens a can of warm cola, spills some on the rug.

Eben in general will be investigating doors and other things for shadow traps/force fields, and otherwise just going through the house, perhaps heading towards the basement, since all nefarious things happen in basements.

Jacob will help investigating, since he's got the Good Eyes, but he's also got a little plate of goodies.

Jacob heads for the attic, beause he believes all bad things happen in attics.

Wanda is confused as the party is split!

[CCrusaders] Wanda exclaims, "If only I had super elasticity!"

GM asks (of Eben), "There are two ways out of this room: the open doorway to the hallway and a closed door in the corner. You don't see anything that looks trap-like on either one. Which do you go to?"

GM says (to Jacob), "And to you as well."

Eben exclaims, "The closet!"

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "(the non-hallway door)"

Jacob peers into the hallway.

GM exclaims (at Eben), "You open it and find stairs leading down into the darkness -- you may have just found your basement!"

[CCrusaders] Wanda exclaims, "The other door had a goat behind it!"

[Crows-Nest] Jacob says, "Hee"

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "(A sacrificial one, obviously)"

GM says (to Jacob), "In the hallway, you see a suit of armor on one side facing a portrait on the opposite wall. At one end of the hall is the front door. At the other end are stairs leading up. There's also another doorway leading into another room on this level."

GM asks (of Eben), "If you want to go down those stairs, what will you be using for light?"

Jacob will eventually make it to the attic, but first he looks at the armor without touching it and stares for a moment at the portrait, in case any of it is relevant.

Wanda asks (of GM), "Can I be the light source?"

[CCrusaders] Jacob asks, "Because who the hell has a suit of armor in their house?!?"

GM says (to Jacob), "The portrait is of a tall, blond woman wearing a flow-y black dress. She looks familiar."

Wanda says, "Just make a bit of fire on my head like a Carrot Top wig"

Eben says, "Wait--we probably shouldn't split up."

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "Or whatever redhaired pop culture reference hairdo"

[CCrusaders] Jacob asks, "Is it the woman who tried to kidnap CP?"

GM says (to Jacob), "In fact, you remember that you've seen her before: she was the same woman who fought you once with an undead dragon on top of a skyscraper."

Eben follows Jacob, as he's the one with better eyesight.

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "Oh"

GM says (to Wanda), "You can! That would be a fantastic light source."

[CCrusaders] Jacob tries to remember that OOC

[CCrusaders] GM says (to Jacob), "(Yes, that's the same woman who tried to kidnap CP.)"

[CCrusaders] Jacob glares at the portrait.

Jacob glares at the portrait.

[CCrusaders] GM says, "Also, I like that 'someone tried to grab our favorite cat' is more memorable than 'someone raised an undead dragon and tried to kill us all on top of a skyscraper'."

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "Ha."

GM asks, "So the three of you are all in the hallway?"

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "brb"

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "Given that Jacob was heading to the attic, let's go up the stairs."

GM says, "At the top of the stairs, there's another hallway. It's lined with further portraits, and there are doors on either side. Halfway down the hall, there's a small table with a bowl of flowers on it. And in the ceiling, as you might have hoped, there's a trap door."

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "Sure, attic first, then."

GM says, "You open the trap door and lower a set of folding stairs. As you climb up, the scent of incense and wax meet you."

GM says, "You see several ritual circles inscribed on the floor, some in chalk, some carved into the wood with a knife, some in a dark, dried red-brown dried substance."

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "back"

GM says, "Half-melted candles and incense burners are scattered about."

Eben says, "Well, this is less than pleasant."

Wanda says, "I'm starting to wonder if redemption's even an option here. For Astrid at least."

GM says, "In fact, it reminds you of something that CP has mentioned, a half-formed memory from the time before she had intelligence. It was a place very much like this that she escaped from before Wanda found her."

Eben says, "Well, there doesn't seem to be anything active going on here, but I still think we should destroy/disrupt what we can."

Eben asks, "Jacob, does any of this look trapped?"

Eben asks, "Or like it'll summon something if disrupted?"

GM says (to Jacob), "With your vision, you don't believe that there's anything trap-like in this attic."

Jacob shakes his head, wiping crumbs on his pants.

Eben also looks around in the shadow realm.

GM says (to Eben), "You see things out of the corners of your eyes, but when you look directly at them, there's nothing there."

Wanda says, "Creepy..."

Eben documents the scene on his phone in case there's a later investigation, then starts cleaning up, chalk, then blood, then carvings (by scraping them off with his penknife)

GM says, "You're able to do a pretty decent job of it. The attic still doesn't look pretty, but it's much less disturbing when you're done."

Eben asks, "Well, downward? Straight to the basement, or check out the other rooms first?"

Wanda says, "Check everything."

Jacob nods.

Wanda says, "We don't want to be ambushed from behind"

GM says, "You go down the stairs to the upstairs hallway. The rooms you find there:"

Eben methodically investigates rooms down from the top, checking for traps/shadow stuff on the way.

GM says, "One is a library, with a large comfy chair for reading, filled with occult books."

GM says, "Another is a master bedroom, presumably belonging to the woman whose home this is."

Jacob gets momentarily distracted in the library, perusing titles.

Wanda does the classic prank with the bedsheets.

GM says, "And the third is a bedroom that looks less lived-in, presumably a guest bedroom. The bed is unmade, and there's a cell phone on the bedside table."

Jacob oh.

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "We're so in trouble."

Eben checks if it's Melissa's.

GM says (to Jacob), "'Agatha Fenwulf's Study of Anima and Identity', 'How to Raise a Pet (Post Mortem)', 'Nine Easy Treatments For Moles and Wrinkles'."

GM says (to Eben), "The photo on the lock screen is of Melissa and Lydia."

Wanda says, "Aww"

Eben sighs, pockets the phone.

Jacob says, "Eben. You kept asking about traps, but I think... we're already in one."

Jacob hopefully just paranoid.

Eben says, "Could be!" cheerily.

Eben continues downstairs.

Wanda becomes paranoid also.

GM says (to Eben), "Downstairs, there's the hallway, the room you've already seen (with the door leading down to a presumed basement), and a kitchen. The kitchen has an old cast-iron gas stove and a cauldron sitting on it, partially still containing some kind of liquid."

GM says, "The room also has a nearly-modern refrigerator and sink."

GM says, "(In the sink are dirty dishes and glasses.)"

Jacob snarkily asks if Eben is going to tidy these up, as well.

Eben says, "Just be glad Frances isn't here."

Eben investigates the liquid.

GM says (to Eben), "It smells sweet and alcoholic."

Eben frowns.

Eben asks (of Jacob), "Do you... know of any ritual that takes a sweet alcohol?"

GM says (to Jacob), "While you don't know any specific rituals, alcohol is an ingredient in many potions. It could be anything from a love potion, to a healing mixture, to something to strengthen somebody's magical powers."

Jacob says, "Hm. Besides the general use case of getting people drunk and more suggestible? I'll think about it."

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "Timing"

Jacob says, "Honestly? There are just too many, and sometimes a drink is just a drink."

Jacob seriously imagines they're just brewing up mead in their cauldron for fun

Eben says, "Well, if someone wants to try some, we can keep it, or I'll just dump it."

Jacob makes a face. "Let's take a sample to analyze. We can see what else is in it. Without drinking it.

Jacob recalls we've got a chem student on the team?

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "Or am I making that up? (Wanda)"

[CCrusaders] GM says, "You were correct."

Eben says, "I suppose I could just drop it off in the lab."

Wanda says, "I can try analyzing it, sure"

Jacob says, "Neat. I can maybe narrow it down a little once we know what they mixed with the alcohol."

[CCrusaders] GM asks, "Are you doing that now, or...?"

Jacob eats all sorts of things, but draws the line at drinking out of a cauldron that isn't plastic at a Halloween party.

Eben, assuming that Wanda doesn't carry a chemistry set with her, drops off the cauldron in the lab, then cancels that portal again and coninues downstairs.

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "I figured it's a later thing"

GM asks, "Are you using Wanda as a light source?"

Wanda exclaims, "I will provide light!"

Wanda glows.

GM says, "In the basement, you see a number of cages. Several of them have animals in them; most of them are currently empty. There's also an old photocopier in one corner, and there's a closed door in the far wall."

GM says (to Wanda), "It's possible that this might have been the source of the mental signatures you were detecting earlier."

Wanda says, "So that's what it was... Poor little ones"

Jacob awwws :(

Jacob checks on the animals.

GM says (to Jacob), "A pair of mice, a white rat, an owl in the corner. They seem healthy enough: they all have food and water, and they're not obviously injured."

GM says, "You also notice that one of the empty cages has food and water in it as well."

Eben asks, "Should we just let them free?"

Jacob says, "That's what I was thinking."

Eben says, "I guess we could drop them off in the lab, too."

Jacob chats with the owl telepathically

Jacob asks, "Hey. We're gonna let y'all go. But can you tell me anything about whta's been happening here?"

Eben . o O ( Don't say they just took a white cat away... )

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "You can't hear me!"

Owl says, "Ohoo, yoou can talk? That's goood!"

Jacob asks, "Yes. Hey, who was in that other cage over there?"

Jacob points at the one with food and water

Owl says, "They come, and they gooo. Sooometimes they bring in neeww creatures, sooometimes they take them awaay."

Owl says, "That one? It was a cat. A whiiite cat. They just toook it away toooday."

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "nooooo"

Jacob says, "Oh no. CP."

Jacob says that last bit outloud.

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "She's been FRIDGED"

Jacob says, "What's behind that door over there?" (asking the owl)"

Eben says, "Oh, geez."

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "Hoping for some intel before we just burst in and get ourselves killed."

Owl says, "Sooomething very impooortant, I think! And maybe dangerooous. They are always very carefulll in therre."

Jacob asks, "Wanda, you're sure there's no people around?"

Jacob asks, "Also, can you uh, go see if there's anything in the photocopier? Eben, come here?"

Wanda says (to Jacob), "If there are, they're masking their mind somehow"

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "Actually, Jacob is showing some uncharacteristic tact right now, hm."

Eben comes over.

[CCrusaders] Jacob asks, "But he's maybe obvious and awkward about it?"

Jacob lowers his voice, "I think CP might be um. In there? We need to go look."

Jacob says, "In case..."

Eben says, "Whew."

Eben asks, "Let's drop off the rodents in their cages in the lab. We can free the owl; you want it to come with you?"

Jacob says, "If it wants to."

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "And I've got a hungry child hitting me and trying to make me follow her to the kitchen, so, uh. brb."

Eben again portals away the rodents (and perhaps the owl) and carefully opens the door.

GM says (to Eben), "You find that it's locked."

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "Ok, I think she's ok. back."

Jacob grumps.

Jacob tries to pick it with something or other in his pocket.

GM says (to Jacob), "Burglary, vs. +2."

[CCrusaders] Jacob leveled up on burglary recently, so...

Jacob rolls Good (3) + 4dF: -1 0 -1 0 | Average (1)

Jacob spends a fate point, leaving her with 3.

Jacob has read about that!

[CCrusaders] GM says, "Yay."

GM says, "You open the door. In the middle of the room, there's a table. And on the table, there's a very, very large book, so large that it nearly fills the entire table, with a quill in an inkwell next to it."

GM says, "On the far wall of the room, there's an elaborate diagram that resembles Dr. Nichols' map, but with more post-it notes and thumbtacks and string and other bits attached to it."

Jacob looks at the book.

GM says, "On the floor under the table, you also notice a few scattered pieces of paper."

GM asks (of Jacob), "Are you opening it and reading it, or just peering at it from the doorway?"

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "That's a scary question."

Eben steps into the room.

Jacob definitely would have walked right in and maybe touched the book if no one yelled at him not to.

[CCrusaders] GM asks, "Assuming no one is yelling at him not to?"

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "Nah."

[CCrusaders] Eben is just as curious ;-)

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "Ha"

Jacob reads it then!

GM says (to Jacob), "You lift the heavy cover and flip it over onto the table. The title page says 'Tome of Spellcasting'. You flip a few more pages and see a spread full of strange symbols and writing, with the title 'MAGIC MISSILE'."

Jacob rolls his eyes.

[CCrusaders] GM exclaims, "The words on the page begin to glow, and then suddenly, several bolts of magical energy fly out from the book, directly at Jacob!"

GM exclaims, "The words on the page begin to glow, and then suddenly, several bolts of magical energy fly out from the book, directly at Jacob!"

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "Nice knowin' ya, guys."

GM rolls Superb (5) + 4dF: 0 -1 -1 0 | Good (3)

GM exclaims, "That's a ranged attack!"

Jacob dodges with athletics.

Jacob rolls Fair (2) + 4dF: 0 -1 0 0 | Average (1)

[CCrusaders] GM says, "*That's* the trap that Eben has been looking for all this time."

GM says, "You take two stress! And..."

GM says, "TO BE CONTINUED"

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "Dun dun dun"

[CCrusaders] Wanda exclaims, "We've fallen into a trap and a beloved character might be dead!"

[CCrusaders] Wanda exclaims, "The Shadows Strike Back!"

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "Hey, that's our arc name"

[CCrusaders] GM says, "Woo."

[CCrusaders] Eben exclaims, "w00t!"

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "Don't worry, Wanda. I know where to find a book about raising pets from the dead."

[CCrusaders] Eben says, "Ha ha"

[CCrusaders] Wanda says (to Jacob), "Hehehe aww"

[CCrusaders] GM says, "Thanks for playing everyone! We've probably got about two sessions left in this arc, I would estimate. So it's a good time to decide who's running what next."

[CCrusaders] Wanda exclaims, "True!"

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "I was considering running a mini thing from the Journeys through the Radiant Citadel book"

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "We'd need to talk about what style of adventure we'd like first"

[CCrusaders] GM says, "Sounds good. I have no idea what that is, but it sounds good."

[CCrusaders] Wanda says, "Anyway goofnight everyone"

[CCrusaders] GM exclaims, "Goodnight!"

[CCrusaders] Jacob says, "G'night, Wanda. Thanks, y'all!"
